Cloudy bay

Hello today we are in cloudy bay
Vineyard renamed New Zealand
We got to know this vineyard thanks to Corentin from the blog DesVinsaVous.com who asked us to make a small shared video about this vineyard in particular
Come on, we’ll take you for the tour.

2 years ageing in bottle

It’s very aromatic and very sweet.
It’s sweet enough for wine.
Not at all dry
It doesn’t attack the palace.
It’s pretty round on the palate.
That’s very nice.
He looks absolutely nothing I know of.
That’s it. I found it smells like passion fruit.
It is very surprising
Really powerful nose and very round and at the same time
This wine is not sweet at all
Too good

15% new barrels

It is very different from sauvignon
Much thinner
There are more aromas
Then, this wine holds a long time in mouth
It is really more worked
A little stronger with limit of bitterness at the end
Well, without being bitter
It’s really very very good

However, we age in barrels for 11 months.

Then the barrels are emptied and the wine is bottled after 2 years.

That’s it, it’s going to be interesting because we’re on grape varieties that we know more in the north of France.
Planted in an area that is hyper sunny that looks more southern France It’s light on the nose like a French pinot noir
On the other hand the taste is much stronger There is a lot of sun in the area

There is a slight astringeance that is not unpleasant
Aromas that are rather strong
That’s good.
I like it

HOW IT IS DONE ?

In addition, there, we have Sauvignon Blanc which will be harvested within 3 weeks to 1 month This is the last to be harvested in the region.
They start with pinot noir then with chardonnay
So there they are in full harvest of these grape varieties
Sauvignon is finishing ripening
There are beautiful clusters
The funniest thing about it all
It’s March 14th.
And yes! It’s the southern hemisphere.

Finally, we had a great time at Cloudy Bay
We were extremely well received by Wendy
Now we’re gonna take a little nap before we go back.
I promise, we never drink alcohol again.

Hi
